The Third Thursday Band grew out of a monthly mixed musics, bands and jam session at the Bay View Boat Club in San Francisco that was started and hosted by frontman/singer Mike Dingle over 25 years ago. The core is a power trio featuring guitarist par excellence Mike McKevitt, drummer Bruce Slesinger (founding member of the Dead Kennedys). They’ve been playing together for over 15 years now and can back almost anyone up in practically any genre. Often joined by saxophonist Mark Yee, and an assortment of guest vocalists, Third Thursday’s material ranges from Abba to Zappa, with an emphasis on the latter. We toured with Willie Waldman in 2019 and were Steve Mackay’s (Stooges, Violent Femmes and Commander Cody) local band for the last 15 years of his life. We continue to perform Steve’s material regularly. Our motto: “possibly perfect for your party!”

Willie Waldman Project is the rotational dance-funk, jam, hip-hop, jazz-rock supergroup all-star concept band. Willie’s grand mentor was John Coltrane, through the all-time great Dr Herman Green. Willie’s played with Snoop, Tupac, Sublime, Jane’s Addiction, Banyan, Wu-Tang Clan, the Dead, and has had Flea in his band, as well as Buckethead and one of The Doors. WWP is the leading act of We Wanna Party Records.

* Norwood Fisher ~ bassist who has kept the funk alive, founding FISHBONE and played alongside Curtis Mayfield, George Clinton, Neville Bros directly. He also founded supergroups Trulio Disgracias (w/members of Parliament/Funkadelic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bad Brains, Freestyle Fellowship, Spearhead, Weapons of Choice, Ozomatli, the Untouchables, Gap Band, Suicidal Tendencies, Slightly Stoopid) and Familyhood Nextperience. (w/The Skeletones, Social Distortion, The English Beat, Suicidal Tendencies)

* Terry Saffold ~ drummer & Memphis legend played on classic tracks by Issac Hayes, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder.

* Brian Jordan ~ guitar player & virtuoso, longtime member of Banyan and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, having played with James Brown, Dave Matthews, Bernie Worrell, Lauryn Hill, The Allman Brothers Band, Ray Manzarek, Buddy Miles, and George Porter, Jr.
